Webster man pleads guilty to deadly hit-and-run crash

A Webster man pleaded guilty for inflicting a hit-and-run crash that killed a cyclist in Webster final summer time.

Ryan Laduca, 36, pleaded guilty final week to leaving the scene of an accident that resulted in an individual’s loss of life and tampering with bodily proof, each felonies, in accordance to the Monroe County District Attorney’s Office. The charges followed a months-long investigation for the hit-and-run crash that killed Pamela Rubenstein, 57, of Webster.

Rubenstein and one other bike owner had been driving on the south shoulder of Klem Road, close to Five Mile Line Road, round 6:40 p.m. on Aug. 22, 2023 when an eastbound automobile struck Rubenstein from behind, in accordance to Webster Police.

The concerned automobile left the scene and Rubenstein was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital, the place she died from her accidents two days later

Laduca is scheduled to be sentenced on July 17 by Monroe County Court Judge Michael Dollinger. Laduca faces between 1 1/2 and 4 1/2 years in state jail, in accordance to the DA’s Office.
