Two cops shot in Queens after stopping suspect on scooter

Two cops had been shot in Queens whereas attempting to cease a suspect on a motorized scooter early this morning.

The officers in plain garments, a part of the general public security unit in the 115 precinct, stopped the suspect at 89th St. and twenty third Ave., Elmhurst, at 1:41 AM.

When the cops tried to drag the scooter over, the suspect ditched the bike and began to run.

The cops chased after him and the suspect pulled out a gun and fired on the officers.

One was hit in the again and the opposite obtained a graze wound to the abdomen.

At least one of many officers fired and hit the 19-year-old suspect in the leg.

One was hit in the back and the other received a Graze wound to the stomach.

The cops had been taken to Elmhurst General Hospital and the suspect was taken to Booth Memorial Hospital.
