The Block’s Josh and Jenna Densten are transforming a derelict farmhouse into a great folk retreat

They have been a fan favorite in seasons four and six of The Block.

And Josh and Jenna Densten are still thriving in the renovation business years after they shot to fame in series nine on the channel.

The couple recently transformed a dilapidated country house in rural Victoria into a state-of-the-art retreat for the nation.

Located in Rutherglen, 294km from Melbourne, Josh and Jenna have spent the past 18 months painstakingly restoring the traditional stone house.

The new photos shared by The Block’s official websiteon display is one of the many bedrooms the couple created for their two children, Fred and Story.

One of the various challenges Josh and Jenna faced in getting this part of the business off the ground was putting on a brand new roof.

Their plans to create a ‘whimsical space’ for their children involved preserving the classic features of the unique 1980s home.

With a pastel pink color palette, the women’s bedroom is a comfortable area with an ornate fireplace, two bunk beds, a desk and cream curtains.

The couple, who have bought and renovated a string of homes since appearing on The Block in 2011, told the publication that no one had lived in the place for almost a decade before they bought it.

Home renovation plans include a walk-in closet for his or her two daughters and a wine cellar.

The home, originally built in the 1980s and purchased by Josh and Jenna in 2021, is located in Rutherglen.

Before buying the Rutherglen property, Densten bought his “forever home” in Melbourne’s north in 2021.

Josh and Jenna rose to fame on the fourth season of The Block in 2011.

They later returned for The Block: All Stars in 2013, before becoming contestants on the main season of Nine’s Reno Rumble in 2015.

Shown on the channel, interior designer Jenna and her plumber husband Josh have renovated 10 homes together since the hit reality show first aired.
