Strictly’s Shirley Ballas, 62, reveals she has changed her mind after marrying beau Danny Taylor, 50.
Shirley Ballas has revealed she has ‘reconsidered’ marrying her long-term partner Danny Taylor.
In an exclusive chat with MailOnline at London’s Copacabana cabaret show, the tough pick, 62, revealed her priorities have changed.
Saying, “I’ve changed my mind. I just feel like at this particular stage in my life, my mom and I have a great relationship, we want to travel a little bit, and there are different things we want to do.
Shirley has been dating the 50-year-old actor since 2019 and was rumored to be engaged after Danny shocked her with a diamond ring in 2021.
The skilled dancer was previously married to former ballroom star Sammy Stopford from 1980 to 1984 before marrying dancer Corky Ballas in 1985, and the couple split in 2007 after 22 years together.

Despite the information, the pair are still happier than ever as Shirley reveals she is doing everything she can to make their long distance relationship work as Danny is currently on tour.
“(The relationship is) I’m wonderful — I’m busy, he’s busy, and we talk to each other every day — several times a day, and my mom talks to him, too.”
Before revealing: “I’d love to do a travel show with my mom, but she doesn’t like the camera, she says, but give me cognac and she’s great.”
Perhaps Shirley is very close to her mum Audrey, 85, and has counselled Defender last year: “My mother, Audrey, is 85 and lives with me, and we like to curl up in bed and watch Murder Mysteries.”

“I have a social media team behind me this year and my son will help me filter it. Of course, my mom and I live together, so I have this little soul to fall back on, so I’m not worried about that at all this year.

She looked sensational in a bright pink jacket and matching shorts, which she teamed with a light white shirt.
But despite her beaming smile, the TV favorite wore a white ankle brace.
Refusing to sacrifice her style, she slipped on bare heels and posed up a storm on the carpet.
Shirley took to her Instagram a day earlier and revealed that she was “lucky” not to have “broken” her leg after a backyard accident.
Filming herself on her method, she mentioned: “Look what I’m gardening this morning.
Amazing: When she was back on dry land, Shirley attended a gala performance of Mrs Doubtfire in support of Comic Relief at London’s Shaftesbury Theatre, despite nearly breaking her ankle the day before.
‘Oh yes. When I say I got lucky, I’m not kidding. I mean, I was lucky I didn’t break it.
“I’ve already broken it twice in my life. Strong ankles, but I fell on my hands, wrists and almost my face… but I made it. My leg instead. So yeah.
Speaking to fans a day after the injury, she showed off her swollen ankle as it began to bruise.
She explained: My foot is now turning completely black. It is very swollen. do you see it But even when I went to yoga today, my shoulder hurt. So it happened the next day. That’s why my shoulder hurt, my foot hurt too.
“Trying to decide if I should put the bandage back on to go out because I always want to wear heels. Has anyone else had this injury?
I’ve broken that foot twice the last time, so I guess I’m lucky. Anyway, off to Shaftesbury Avenue to see Mrs. Doubtfire now and I’m so excited, I loved the movie. And I think I’m going to really like the show.
