“I urge the ICC [International Criminal Court] to swiftly issue arrest warrants for Netanyahu and senior Israeli officials to finally hold them accountable for this genocide, as is obviously warranted by these well-documented violations of the Genocide Convention under international law.”

The senators advised Khan his workplace had not issued warrants for Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei or some other Iranian official, Syrian President Bashar al-Assad or some other Syrian official, Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh or some other Hamas official nor General Secretary of the People’s Republic of China, Xi Jinping, or some other Chinese official.

“If you issue a warrant for the arrest of the Israeli leadership, we will interpret this not only as a threat to Israel’s sovereignty but to the sovereignty of the United States,” the senators mentioned. “The United States will not tolerate politicized attacks by the ICC on our allies. Target Israel and we will target you.”

The letter warned that any motion towards both nation would consequence ultimately of all American assist for the ICC, sanctioning of ICC staff and associates and barring Khan and his household from the US.
