South Carolina resident killed in two-vehicle collision, coroner says

A motorbike rider was killed Saturday evening in a crash that additionally concerned an SUV, based on the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

Christian Tyler Lisenby, a 25-year-old Lancaster resident was recognized because the motorbike rider, Lancaster County Coroner Karla Deese stated.

The two-vehicle collision occurred at about 6:30 p.m., based on Master Trooper Brandon Bolt of the Highway Patrol.

Lisenby was using a 2023 Kawasaki north on S.C. 200/Airport Road, and whereas making a left flip onto Memorial Park Road the motorbike was hit by a 2017 Jeep SUV that was driving south on S.C. 200, Bolt stated.

Lisenby died on the scene, based on Deese.

Bolt stated neither the SUV driver nor a 7-year-old passenger in the Jeep had been damage, and no different accidents had been reported.

There was no phrase if Lisenby was carrying a helmet, or if both of the folks in the SUV had been carrying seat belts.

The crash continues to be investigated by the Highway Patrol and coroner’s workplace.

Through final Tuesday, 270 people had died on South Carolina roads in 2024, based on the state Department of Public Safety. Last 12 months, 1,030 folks died in crashes in South Carolina, DPS reported.

At least 5 folks have died in Lancaster County crashes in 2024, based on DPS information. There had been 15 deaths reported in the county in 2023, DPS reported.
