Ryan Mallett: Former NFL QB dies at 35 ‘after drowning incident’ in Florida

Former football player Ryan Mallett has died at the age of 35.

Mallett, who played in the NFL with the New England Patriots, Houston Texans and Baltimore Ravens, drowned in Florida.

Deltaplex news The tragedy was first reported on Tuesday, before the Patriots confirmed the news. He was flown from Florida Beach to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

“The New England Patriots are deeply saddened by the sudden and unexpected passing of former quarterback Ryan Mallett,” the staff tweeted.

“Our thoughts are with Mallett’s family, his former teammates and all those who mourn his loss.”

The former quarterback played with Tom Brady for the New England Patriots from 2011 to 2013.

JJ Watt took to Twitter to tag his former teammate, who betrayed his 35-year-old age.

From 2011 to 2017, Mallett played in the NFL after his school career at Michigan and Arkansas.

He returned to the latter state to attend White Hall High School, taking over in February 2022.

Mallett was a teammate of legendary quarterback Tom Brady for 2 seasons after being drafted in the third spherical in 12 years.

The former Razorback shared a locker room with JJ Watt for an additional 2 seasons, while each player has been a Texan.

And the legendary defensive end paid tribute to his former teammate on Twitter on Tuesday night.

“Horrible news to read about Ryan Mallett,” he said. ‘ Gone too quickly. Rest in peace brother.

Former Patriots running back James White (not Mallet’s teammate), former Steelers running back Ryan Clark and former Ravens wide receiver additionally offered their condolences.
