Pro-Israel PAC targets NY Democratic Socialists in scathing six-figure ad campaign

A professional-Israel PAC is torching the Democratic Socialists of America and liberal Queens candidates for destroying the Democratic Party – and America – with a scathing six-figure ad campaign.

The Comittee for Sensible Government’s first ad in a collection takes purpose at Democratic main candidates operating for state Assembly together with veteran incumbent Ron Kim. 

“This is what the DSA stands for: Disarm, defund, abolish the police,” a narrator declares in the 30-second spot says with photos of a protest.

“Making New York City the migrant center of America and now some violent conflict and chaos at campuses across America,” the narrator provides, as movies present vandals smashing home windows and protesters grappling with police and campus safety officers.

The narrator claims the DSA is attempting to take over the occasion of “FDR and JFK.”

“Now that you know what they stand for, there’s only one question – will you take a stand?” the ad says.

The group whose donors embrace the Real Estate Board of New York and Rent Stabilization Association representing landlords of rent-regulated residences is concentrating on candidates who’re endorsed by DSA or different left-leaning candidates.

The group’s president, Michael Nussbaum, who additionally heads the Queens Jewish Community Council, stated assist for Israel is a “line in the sand” for him.

“The DSA is against Israel. The far left is as dangerous as the far right,” Nussbaum stated.

But the political motion committee is also slamming candidates for being smooth on crime.

Assemblyman Kim, who has represented the Flushing-Bayside space in the fortieth District since 2012 and is searching for a seventh time period, faces a formidable problem from Yi Andy Chen in the June 25 Democratic main.

Nussbaum’s group – which backs Chen – slams Kim for supporting the controversial cashless bail legislation and a pitch to decriminalize prostitution, amongst different issues.

Kim’s campaign slammed the PAC as sleazy.

“Michael Nussbaum’s group, which includes former Council Member Dennis Gallagher who was indicted for rape, and has a record of supporting criminals for office, including a former Assembly candidate who went to jail for assault, has been spreading lies trying to mislead voters,” a Kim campaign spokesman informed The Post.

“Nussbaum and those around him have been on a weird personal crusade against Assembly Member Kim for years, bordering on obsession. We ask how it is appropriate for Michael Nussbaum, the publisher of a newspaper [The Queens Daily Eagle], to be openly engaged in political attacks of the worst kind.

The spokesperson also called Kim’s primary opponent “George Santos Version 2.0,” a reference to the serial liar Republican who was booted from Congress after a collection of controversies.

Nussbaum’s PAC can be placing its thumb on the size in two different Queens Assembly main races backing Larinda Hooks over former Councilman Hiram Monserrate in the thirty fifth Assembly District and supporting Johana Carmona in the thirty seventh AD over DSA-backed Claire Valdez and embattled incumbent Assemblyman Juan Ardila, who’s grappled with sexual assault claims.

He stated the DSA has gotten a foothold in Western Queens, with the election of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Assemblyman Zhoran Mamdani, Assemblywoman Jessica Rojas Gonzalez and Councilwoman Tiffany Caban.
