Police officer reunites homeless man with his family 350 miles away

GREENVILLE, SC~ Thanks to the efforts of a law enforcement official in South Carolina, a man who lived on the streets was reunited with his family. Lt. Conroy of the Greeneville Police Department has been working to engage with homeless people in the neighborhood and offer them help.

He was able to come into contact with a person identified only as Mr. Bryant, as the department said. The man had been homeless for two years, but thanks to Conroy he was able to locate his family, who lived in Virginia. During this time, the man was homeless.

Authorities say the man’s family were thrilled to learn he had been located and traveled all the way to South Carolina to pick him up. “It is heartwarming to see the positive impact of such efforts,” the department said in its post. “Feel Good History!”
