Patsy Kensit is set to make an emotional return to EastEnders to say goodbye to on-screen daughter Lola Pearce.
Lola, played by Danielle Harold, died of most cancers last month as part of a heartbreaking plot in the BBC cleaning soap opera.
In emotional scenes to be shown next week, the people of Albert Square will gather to say goodbye to Lexi’s beloved mum and wife of Jay Brown.
Patsy made her debut in the BBC One cleaning soap opera as Emma Harding, Lola’s estranged mum, but finally left in March when her daughter’s terminal prognosis became too much for her to bear.

Since then, Danielle has openly shared her anger at leaving her character after almost 14 years.
On leaving the role, Danielle said: “(It’s been) almost 14 years, she becomes a little part of you. I’m going to be so sad to say goodbye to her.
She added: “It was very important to keep to yourself – that’s what I heard from the girls (when researching), it can be portrayed very harshly, but not always.
EastEnders executive producer Chris Clanshaw also recently revealed why they chose Lola for the soap’s tragic cancer storyline.
According to Chris, the character had to be “loved” to achieve current bosses’ aim of raising awareness of the disease.
At the press screening for Lola’s latest episode, he mentioned mentioned the great thought that was in their determination.
He revealed: “The end of one of our biggest storylines of the last year and almost everyone on the show is extremely proud of the story. It’s also an extremely sad time for us as we say goodbye to the incredible Danielle Harold.

“The story was so powerful and we know from previous stories like this that when EastEnders tackles an issue or raises awareness of it the impact can be huge and we all felt this was one of those stories that needed to be told .
“With the support of Brain Tumor Research and Macmillan Cancer Support, whose help and support has been invaluable to us and to all the families and especially those who are really going through Lola’s, our awareness of this issue grew and we knew exactly how important this a problem. that we told this story.

“She is so loved and a story like this can only be told with a character who is so loved. We all know how talented Daniela is. But from the beginning of this plot, she surprised everyone.
