Justin Kaplan Boca Raton, Florida Window and Door Vice President, Sales died by suicide

Death of Justin Kaplan – The Vice President of Sales for the famed Florida Window and Door has sadly passed away. Justin Kaplan, of Boca Raton, Fla., died Tuesday, May 6, 2023. The former Pulte Group field manager and former owner of Hospitality Inventory Solutions LLC was pronounced dead of an apparent suicide following his battle against depression. “Rest in peace Justin, please!” I’m here if you ever want to talk, I don’t want to lose any more friends by suicide… Mental struggle is a real brother! wrote one social media user after the tragic news.

Justin was Regional Sales Manager at Florida Window and Door before being promoted and named Vice President of Sales Teams. In his early days, Justin worked as a Territory Sales Representative at Johnson Brothers Wine and Liquor Distributions. He graduated from West Boca High School. He was also an alumnus of Florida Gulf Coast University.

Until his unexpected death, he served as vice president for about eleven months. He was a father, a friend and also a colleague. Sales manager at Florida Window and Door – a window replacement company established in 1983. Justin’s death makes him the second reported suicide in Florida in two days. On Monday night, a 50-year-old man was struck and killed by the Brightline train in Delray Beach.

Police said Jeffrey Balsewich, 50, was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash happened around 9:50 p.m. Tuesday night near the intersection of Northeast 14th Street and North Federal Highway west of North Old Dixie Highway. A tweet claims the 2300 block of Dixie was closed due to an accident.

Delray Beach Police are investigating a tragic collision between a person and a Brightline train. From block 1600 to block 2300 of N. Old Dixie Highway, the road is closed to traffic in both directions. According to tweets from the police department, witnesses reported that the vehicle was in the path of the train tracks when it was hit by the southbound train. There had been a freight train passing here earlier.

Pompano Beach lost a pedestrian at 7:24 a.m. Friday when a Brightline bus collided with them at the intersection of Northeast Sixth Street and North Dixie Highway. Preliminary investigation by detectives from the Broward Sheriff’s Office indicates that the Brightline train was heading south on the west track as it approached the Northeast Sixth Street crossing. Dyanna Fernandez, 29, was also approaching the intersection by heading east along the north side of Northeast Sixth Street. Eyewitnesses told investigators the woman wandered around the lowered security barrier and continued east across the train tracks while texting on her phone.
