WHAT TO TRY: Facet shelf. A variation on the regular plank, this carry focuses on obliques that wrap around the sides of your waist like a corset.

Start in a plank position together with your palms and arms straight and flat on the ground up to your elbow and your body structure tight.

Slowly lift one arm off the ground to the edge and up into the air, rotating your chest, body and legs 90 degrees.

Hold for a count of 5 and return to a standard plank, then repeat on the opposite side.

Repeat three times on both sides.
