Illness of Jordan Peterson’s daughter: what happened to Mikhaila Peterson?

Jordan Peterson’s daughter, Mikhaila Peterson, was diagnosed with juvenile rheumatoid arthritis (CRJ) when she was just seven years old. The Canadian psychologist’s child claimed that her symptoms began to manifest when she was two years old.

She was prescribed SSRIs at age 12 after being diagnosed with severe depression (later bipolar type 2). Following the JRC diagnosis, she had to undergo hip and ankle replacement surgery at age 17.

Mikhaila underwent many other grueling procedures during her teenage years, which led to her briefly becoming dependent on Oxycontin.

Her mother introduced her to a naturopath when she was 23, two years after she began experiencing symptoms of chronic fatigue syndrome. Subsequently, Jordan’s daughter began to be careful with what she consumed.

When Mikahila eliminated processed foods, dairy products, legumes, eggs, nuts, seeds and legumes from her diet, she reduced her diet to meat and fish, as well as green vegetables and to root vegetables like parsnips and sweet potatoes, according to her blog post.

After three months, her melancholy subsided and a persistent rash finally disappeared, so she decided to stop taking the antidepressants, which made her life miserable.

Soon after, she concluded that the food that didn’t aggravate her arthritis was meat. Therefore, she began to eat only meat. She felt better after five months but had cravings, cramps and diarrhoea. Still, Mikhaila thought it was much easier than arthritis discomfort.

Mr. Peterson’s daughter calls her diet “the lion diet”.
