Gulf Coast region gas prices fell from last week: See how much here

Regional gas prices fell last week and reached a median of $3.19 per gallon of standard gasoline on Monday, down from last week’s value of $3.23 per gallon, in line with the U.S. Energy Information Administration.

The common gasoline value within the Gulf Coast region has risen about 8 cents since last month. According to the EIA, gas prices throughout the region within the last 12 months have been as little as $2.55 on Dec. 18, 2023, and as excessive as $3.46 on Aug. 21, 2023.

A 12 months in the past, the typical gas value within the Gulf Coast region was 1% decrease at $3.15 per gallon.

The common gas value within the United States last week was $3.65, making prices within the Gulf Coast region about 12.6% decrease than the nation’s common. The common nationwide gas value is down from last week’s common of $3.67 per gallon.

The U.S. Energy Information Administration’s tally of prices within the Gulf Coast states consists of Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico and Texas.
