ESPN host CJ Steele is leaving after 16 years to “exercise her First Amendment rights” after settling a lawsuit with the public over her controversial statements about the Covid-19 vaccine and Barack Obama.

CJ (*16*) is breaking free from ESPN after 16 years so she will communicate her thoughts freely.

“Life update,” started Steele’s submission on X, previously Twitter. “After successfully resolving the matter with ESPN/Disney, I’m decided to hit the highway to practice my first mod further freely. I’m grateful for thus many nice experiences over the previous 16 years and look ahead to my subsequent chapter!

(*16*) sued the neighborhood in April 2022 after claiming ESPN violated her First Amendment and free speech rights in Connecticut by suspending her over feedback about former President Barack Obama and the Covid-19 vaccine.
