— A 19-year-old Colorado State University and athletics student has tragically passed away. Colton Kaase, of Bellville, Texas, died Tuesday after a tragic incident. According to the Colorado State Rams Facebook page, the student in the athletics program and athletics department was a rising sophomore on the men’s track team. “Colton Kaase was the light in the room. We had such a lovely visit a few weeks ago at my bar counter. I can still hear his laugh. Her charm was immeasurable and we loved having her in our son’s life so much. Our hearts are broken but we give what’s left to Juli & Kenneth & the girls. He was deeply loved.

I am very grateful to have been able to train you and to see you grow in the track and become a man. I can’t apologize to your parents enough for what’s going on.
