Cocoa man faces formal murder charge in death of man attacked in robbery attempt

A 19-year-old Cocoa man who police stated ambushed a man strolling from a retailer with beer, then shot and killed him, has been formally charged by the state legal professional’s workplace.

A grand jury this week returned a first-degree murder indictment in opposition to Kenydrick “Pooh” Anderson, who can be charged with tried robbery with a firearm in the April 12 capturing death of 43-year-old Factor Tejax Curup, courtroom data present.

Anderson might be sentenced to life in jail if convicted on the fees.

Cocoa detectives stated Curup was strolling dwelling alongside Crestview Road and carrying a case of beer on the time of the capturing. Police reviewed a number of surveillance movies, with detectives saying Anderson jumped from the bushes and confronted Curup.

Anderson then shot Curup not less than thrice in the stomach, based on police reviews.
