Chelsea apartment building evacuated after reported gaseous odor, officials say

Crews evacuated a number of residents from a Chelsea apartment building Thursday evening.

Firefighters responding to 178 Washington Avenue for a report of fuel within the building discovered unusually excessive readings on their meters as soon as inside, in response to Deputy Fire Chief Edward McGarry.
