WARSAW − River View High School senior Caily Shriver has two objectives as she leaves highschool − to change into a political speech author and to someday return to her native Coshocton County.

The daughter of Craig and Stacey Shriver plans to attend Liberty University, a Christian school in Lynchburg, Virginia. She desires to main in writing with a authorities or political science minor and needs to get into political writing. A speech author could be her dream job. She stated the college has lots of golf equipment that can assist with networking for a political profession. Her favourite courses at school are English and historical past.

Shriver stated her dad and mom have been politically lively and her brother, Caleb Shriver, has labored in Washington D.C. While one can write from nearly anyplace, she hopes to land a place that may permit her to transfer again to Coshocton.

“So many people want to come back here. I think it’s important, because it’s so much safer here. I think that’s become harder to find in a lot of bigger cities,” she stated. “Especially with online job opportunities it’s easier to stay where you want to stay. But, this is where I’d like to have a family.”

In highschool, Shriver has participated in indoor and outside observe, cross nation, basketball and golf. She’s been involved with pupil council, artwork membership, Spanish Honor Society and others. She’s additionally been lively with many group actions and organizations, together with Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA).

“I just love this community and have had a lot of people in the community help me out, so I wanted to give back. I like being involved in the school because I can see my friends, especially with athletics. I just enjoy sports and staying active and being able to hang out with my friends while I do that,” Shriver stated.

Many River View seniors take part in senior projects and Shriver has two associated to her pursuits. She maintains the Instagram account for the observe and area crew and is elevating cash to help the annual baccalaureate service.

While she’s excited to graduate highschool, she’s unhappy to go away FCA behind. She’s been a member of the River View management crew for FCA and weekly conferences are all pupil led. She’s spoken at native church buildings and been involved in group occasions for FCA as effectively. She finds the group uplifting and stated the grownup leaders have been mentors to her.

“It’s important to stay involved in your school and community. A lot of people kind of forget how important that is. Not only because it looks good, it’s important for one socially,” Shriver stated. “Especially if you plan on coming back to this community, it’s important to stay involved and know what’s going on for your benefit and your family’s benefit.”
