PORTLAND, Ore. — Officials said they responded near 37000 East Historic Columbia River Highway shortly before 5 p.m. after receiving a large number of 911 calls reporting a domestic dispute in the surrounding community. Authorities have been told that witnesses told them they heard gunshots during the incident. Officers who were dispatched to the scene later spotted a man fleeing the scene at the time and took him into custody.
Deputy sheriffs said while doing their inspection of the property, they found a woman who had been shot inside. Deputy sheriffs reported that they had discovered his body. On Monday, the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office was able to uncover the identities of the female victim and male suspect who were involved in a horrific episode of domestic violence that took place on June 3. Heather Lynn Booker Briscoe, 47, was named as a victim, and Brandon Lewis Briscoe, also 47 and currently being held at the Multnomah County Detention Center, was named as a suspect. He was charged with second degree murder (domestic violence), possession of a firearm after a prior conviction for a felony, and unlawful use of a weapon. These three counts were brought against him. At present, the investigation is still ongoing.
