Body pulled from Chicago River identified as missing Noah Enos, police say

Noah Enos, Dead – Nicole Wijs, Enos’ ex-girlfriend, previously told NBC Chicago that Enos and a co-worker attended a King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard concert. The body of a man who had been missing since he was last seen leaving a concert at the nearby Salt Shed concert hall on Monday night has been found in the North Arm of the Chicago River. She cried, “I’m sick and collapsing without you. It’s frightening. I’m afraid that wherever you are, you’re not being taken care of, and I need to know that you’re okay before I can take you home.

The body was discovered in the river near the 1300 block of North Elston Avenue around 9:45 a.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office. Today, Noah Enos is 26 years old. The cause and manner of death will likely be determined by an autopsy. Throughout the evening, Enos stayed in touch with her via text and Snapchat, even sending her a photo from inside the venue. She said she wouldn’t hear from Noah until 9 p.m. An hour later, his phone was dead.

They watched the surveillance film and around 9:30 a.m. they saw him and his colleague walking around the site. According to them, the performance ended at 10 a.m., so they have 30 minutes to figure out “maybe where he would have gone inside the room.” Noah’s employee told Wijs that he and Wijs broke up when the show ended. His relatives have taken to social media in a bid to find him, uploading pictures of him and distributing a missing person leaflet. “I’ve had people posting to me and contacting me saying they saw him at the concert,” she said. Wijs said her boyfriend was extremely important to her while Chicago police investigate the incident.

Two years have passed since they started dating, but they have known each other since middle school. She praised him as “extremely bright, charming and caring” and called him “a wonderful boyfriend and adoring father to our two dogs”. “Certainly not one to get up and disappear without giving notice or explanation.” Noah, according to Wijs, has a new job at the Frontier in Wicker Park. He and his colleague apparently had cocktails at Big Star in Wicker Park before catching an Uber for the show, as she reported to NBC Chicago. “I adore you in every way. I wish you were here.
