Australian traveler shocked after Mel Gibson’s The Patriot was projected onto baggage cabins during flight
After taking tons of flights, a veteran Australian traveler was left speechless when a passenger boarding his gate started projecting a Hollywood blockbuster mid-flight.
Douglas Lazick-Kirk, from the NSW Central Coast, filmed the second when a three-seater pulled out a pocket projector to stream Mel Gibson’s The Patriot.

The picture took up your entire floor in one of the many overhead bins, and the flight attendants didn’t seem to mind watching them.
Subtitles are on so your entire cabin can benefit from the present, however most choose to deal with their phones and ignore the passenger’s knowledge of the free movie show.

Despite having flown more than 800 flights, Mr Lazick-Kirk had never seen such a daring display of daring.
“I’ve flown over 800 flights to 147 countries and I’ve never seen anything like this,” he told Storyful.
“I fly a lot and it surprised me to see this on the plane. So I started filming,” he advised USA Today.
The inclusion of subtitles was welcomed by some online users, who criticized the notoriously small number of titles that you can enjoy faintly listening to on your airways.
Others claimed it was a blast from the previous one, when there was only one display in the cockpit entrance for everyone to look at.
“Remember when we all watched the same movie on the plane because it was the only one they had? That’s the vibe I get,” said one person.
“The fear I would have had when choosing the film. It’s too much pressure,” said one.
Released in 2000, The Patriot revolves around Gibson, a widowed farmer who decides not to join the war in 1776, but changes his mind when his son Heath Ledger is captured.
