Amber Heard says ‘beautiful’ new film is ‘about love’ as she makes massive comeback after trial.
Amber Heard praised her new film this weekend when she attended the premiere at Italy’s Taormina Film Festival.
The 37-year-old actress stars in the thriller Fire, her first big-screen appearance since a 2022 defamation lawsuit filed by her ex-husband Johnny Depp, 60.
“It’s a beautiful film about the almost supernatural effect and power of love,” she applauded Human beings in the film competition.
She added: “It’s about the limits that love can overcome and the creation of that, and really the immense power that love has.”
Heard, who moved to Spain with her two-year-old daughter during the trial, said: “I don’t want to sound stupid about it, but it’s a movie about love.”

Amber put the courtroom drama behind her as she smiled and laughed with her Italian co-star Luca Calvani, 48, and various friends the night before.

Amber lives near Madrid with her daughter Oonaga (2), where she moved after the trial. The child was born from a surrogate mother in April 2021.
