Alligator kills 69-year-old South Carolina girl, beast discovered guarding her mutilated body
A 9-foot-long alligator killed a 69-year-old girl in South Carolina on Tuesday morning.
The girl was walking her dog when the gator attacked and killed her. This is the second fatal attack in the area in less than a year.

The beast was discovered guarding the victim’s mutilated body at the bottom of a lagoon near her home and the Spanish Wells Golf Club on Hilton Head Island.
“Rescues were made and the alligator appeared and secured the woman, halting emergency measures,” according to the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office.

The gator was safely away from the kingdom and was euthanized. The girl’s body composition has been recovered and a post-mortem is scheduled for Wednesday.

Police, along with Hilton Head Island Fire Rescue, the Beaufort County Coroner’s Office and Spanish Wells security personnel, were cited for a report of a possible alligator attack near the lagoon adjacent to the golf course.
Authorities responded to the attack at 9:30 a.m. near the Hispanic Wells neighborhood on Hilton Head Island.
Located in an upscale area of Beaufort County, Hilton Head Island is consistently ranked as one of the best places to stay in South Carolina.
Despite rescue efforts trying to save many of the girls, the alligator reappeared and guarded the girl, disrupting the emergency response.
Gloria Serge, 85, was killed in February while trying to save her much-loved dog, Trooper, from a 10-foot gator. In a video posted later, Serge is seen trying to get his dog away from the gator’s jaws, however the gator grabbed him as an alternative and can very well be seen dragging him into the lake.
Sergei’s puppy survived the attack, but the gator was later captured and euthanized after killing the old girl near a pond in Florida in February.
Serge (pictured) was a grandmother living at the Spanish Lakes Boathouse Retirement Community in Fort Pierce, Florida, when she was killed by an alligator in February.
The girl was discovered unconscious and considered useless.
The girl’s physique was restored and the gator was safely away from the realm.
The Beaufort County Coroner’s office is expected to conduct an autopsy on the girl.
It is currently unclear where the girl was in the water. The situation of the girl’s dog may also be unknown at this time.
Alligator attacks in South Carolina have been on the rise recently.
The state went years without many gator attacks, and in 2022, 5 gator attacks were reported in South Carolina, two of which were fatal.
In February of this year a An 85-year-old girl was mauled by a ten-foot alligator while trying to save her dog from the reptile’s clutches at a Florida pond.
Gloria Serge, 85, was killed trying to rescue her much-loved dog Trooper from the clutches of the reptile.
The video shows the second time the gator jumps out of the water and lunges at the girl’s dog, aptly named Trooper.
The attack happened when a neighbor who called 911 frantically tried to help the girl.

A retiree was walking her dog near a pond in the Spanish Lakes Boathouse neighborhood in Fort Pierce when the 700-pound alligator jumped out of the water and grabbed the dog.
The girl was trying to pry the dog away from the gator’s jaws when the reptile attacked her and dragged her into the pond, an eyewitness told CBS News.
And last week, a 13-year-old boy survived an alligator attack in which the reptile only let go of its real leg after the teenager punched it in Florida.

The video was taken by a vacationer visiting a shipyard on Hilton Head Island with his household last week.
Micah Kimberlin said he was riding his bike with his spouse and three youngsters when he spotted the gator.
Surveillance video shows the angler standing on the grassy edge of the pond with a fishing rod in hand when the gator immediately emerges and pounces on him.
The man was seen operating away from the lake in a different route, while a nearby girl who had a digital camera additionally dashed away from the scene. The man managed to escape without any injuries.
