Alexus Marie Gonzales, 24, of San Bernardino accused of abducting 2 children arrested

FONTANA, Calif. — According to a police announcement Friday, the two children who were stolen from their Fontana home were found safe and sound in San Bernardino. The first boy was abducted from his home in Fontana. Fontana Police Department officers were dispatched to a home in the 15700 block of Paine Street at 9 a.m. Thursday morning in response to reports that a child was missing. The missing child was reportedly last seen at the residence.

As soon as they arrived, they learned that the house had been broken into and that Sebastian Sanchez had been taken off the property while he was inside. During the investigation, Alexus Marie Gonzales, 24, from San Bernardino, was considered as a person of interest. Gonzales was wanted by authorities in connection with the kidnapping of another child three weeks ago in San Bernardino, and there was a warrant for her arrest in connection with that particular crime, officials said. The kidnapping took place in San Bernardino.

A warrant for Gonzalez’s arrest was issued when authorities found her and her two children at a location in San Bernardino. There, Gonzalez was taken into custody. Anyone who thinks they have additional information is asked to contact the Fontana Police Department at 909-350-7700.
