A man brought a spear to a 7-Eleven in Florida. Then the clerk stabbed him, police say

A 7-Eleven retailer clerk has been arrested in the stabbing of a man behind the retailer after an argument involving a spear and a pocketknife, Bradenton police stated.

Police arrested 34-year-old Danny Waiters on Wednesday and charged him with aggravated battery with a lethal weapon following a collection of arguments at the Bradenton comfort retailer.

Detectives say Waiters advised them he stabbed the man, who’s in his 60s and “frequently carries a spear,” after the man approached him behind the 7-Eleven they usually argued. During Tuesday’s argument, police say the man displayed the spear however didn’t threaten Waiters with it.

At one level, the retailer supervisor advised the man to depart the property, when Waiters intervened and started arguing with the man once more, in accordance to police.

When the man with the spear turned his again on staff, police say Waiters stabbed him as soon as with a pocketknife.

Detectives stated Waiters advised them he believed the man was going to seize the spear.

The stabbing sufferer underwent surgical procedure and is recovering, police say.

Police stated Waiters turned himself in Wednesday morning.
