A 15-year-old ballerina was killed in a hit-and-run boat crash while water skiing in South Florida.

Ella Riley Adler was having fun with an idyllic Saturday afternoon celebrating a good friend’s birthday in Key Biscayne’s Nixon Beach when a boat collided together with her earlier than dashing away, WSVN reports.

Ella, a dancer with  Miami City Ballet, was left bobbing in the water as first responders reported “a lot of blood” coming from her physique.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC), who’re investigating the hit-and-run, mentioned no suspect has been recognized but as Miami Crime Stoppers put out a $5,000 reward for ideas resulting in an arrest.

The FWC mentioned Ella was in the water sporting her life vest and skis when a boat, described as mild blue with a darker blue backside, struck her.
